Ari Bafalouka was born in Athens.

He is a film & theatre director and photographer. His works have been screened and awarded in many acclaimed international film festivals, broadcasted on many TV channels and distributed in many countries.

He has studied physical education and sport sciences in National Kapodistrian University and filmmaking (directing and screenwriting) in Greece (L.Stavrakos film school) and in England (Northern media school at Sheffield Hallam University) for 5 years. He holds a Master degree in filmmaking. In his youth, he used to be a champion in swimming holding many national records.

Ari loves to express himself with images, sounds, performing arts and music. He likes to experiment with the form, the unexpected, the weird, the supernatural, the mysterious, the multidimensional and the universal in its cosmic sense of space, time and energy. He likes his images to create sentiments concerning the human anxiety in this world. He tries to create dreamy, poetic and cinematic atmosphere in his works.
